In 2003 I was asked to make photos for an exhibition in the Royal Palace in Amsterdam, to occur during the ceremony of awarding Mr. Alan Davidson the Erasmus Prize for his extensive work in exploring and describing global food cultures, and seafood in particular. The prize was awarded to Mr. Davidson by Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands, in the presence of Queen Beatrix and several members of the Dutch royal family.
The theme given for the exhibition was "seafood", of course. The exhibition was well appreciated by all present, and I much enjoyed presenting and receiving compliments for my work from the prize winner, the royals and many other guests.
